In her work, she created a 'chained woman', a universal visual language that renews and expands her long-standing occupation with works made from scans of marriage inscriptions found in the National Library. The words in the marriage ceremony are what bind the woman to her husband, but here, the words of the scripture become a kind of jewel, chains of a paper cutout that may also be interpreted as chains. The act of tearing the ketubah to pieces is a dramatic way to express the sad condition of the Aguna
